Ryan took 2nd place behind Justin Bucklew in Saturday Pre-qualifying at
Redbud. Then on Sunday after crashing twice, he took 14th in Sunday
qualifier number 2 and had to go to the Last Chance Qualifier. In the
LCQ Ryan grabbed the holeshot and never looked back leading the moto
wire to wire.
Moto 1 Ryan started out running in the top 15
but faded to 21st by the end of the moto.
Moto 2 Ryan started mid pack then
dropped as far back as 30th by lap 7. Then he must have worked through the
fatigue, got a second wind, and started working his way back through
the pack to end up 22nd.
