Top Gun Shootout  9/17/06:  Well, it's the silly season; silly because it's the time of year when riders like Ryan are looking to secure a ride and support for next season. And silly because no sooner than Ryan started riding and racing after getting his cast off his wrist surgery, he's back in another cast. This time it's on his left hand. Ryan was starting to get his speed back and rode to a couple of second place finishes in the Devol Top gun shootout. Then on Monday in the 1st moto of the day Ryan clipped the landing on a triple he had been jumping fine all weekend.  He cart wheeled hard and broke several fingers in the palm of his hand. He had surgery later that day and they put a couple of pins in the fingers to keep everything in place. The Dr. says he should be ready to go in mid to late October.
