5/5 Las Vegas Mini Moto SX:  Mini Moto Practice: Practice and pre-qualifying went well. There are a ton of fast riders at the Orleans arena today. McGrath and Costella looked very fast in practice, but it was our own Ryan Abrigo that set the fastest laptime of the day aboard his BBR prepared Monster Energy 110 (12 inch wheels). Ryan crashed twice in his 50 (10 inch wheels) qualifier and finished 3rd. But in the 110 pre-qualifier Ryan finished first!

Grant Langston will not be racing the East/West shootout tomorrow due to a press day accident this morning at Sam Boyd Stadium. Apparently Langston came up short on a triple and hurt his wrist.

In the 50 main event Ryan grabbed the holeshot aboard his Monster Energy BBR 50 only to wash out in the second turn. McGrath used Ryan's leg for a berm and took the lead. Ryan caught backup to finish around 7th.

In the 110 main Ryan got a bad start and got stuck behind some down riders in the first turn. He tried in vain to catch the leaders only to have the transmission give out a couple of laps later ending the evening for Ryan. BBR's Derek Costella would go on to challenge McGrath for the lead and take the win.

5/6 Las Vegas SX East - West Shootout: There was an air of excitement in and around Sam Boyd Stadium all day as the first ever live TV coverage was about to take place. Everything was to run 15 minutes earlier than normal to sync up with the television schedule. MB1 had satellite TV in the motor home. It was strange to watch it on TV as you could hear what was going on inside the stadium. There was only a few second delay from reality.

In Heat 1 Ryan got a bad start and rode way too conservative for the first four laps. The track was slick and greasy because they had watered right before the heat, but everyone had to race the same track... no excuses.  Ryan finally got into a groove the last two laps, but it was too late. He finished  14th.

In the LCQ Ryan got a 7th place start and made a nice pass on the inside of two riders in a corner before a triple. In 5th he was on the bubble and charging hard trying to catch Kiniry. Brett Metcalf was in 6th right behind Ryan with Ramsey in 7th. Metcalf made a pass on Ryan and they drag raced down the whoops side by side. Ryan cut inside and got back by Metcalf. Then Ryan spun sideways out of the turn before the finish and Metcalf took over 5th. They were closing in on 4th and Ramsey was still biting at their heels. Ryan didn't give up and fought hard to stay ahead of Ramsey and held him off for the last two laps to take 6th.
